Inimitable Willie strikes big again! Any wonder ?

I'm usually kind of lengthy in my own reviews and I apologize for that.
This time, I'll be as quick as I can, thanks to what I read in the Editor's notes and the artist's rich Bio that I recommend even to those old-timeers like me.
Great album, superb artistry of both composers and interpreters (Willie and the
band), a real coverage of many different styles showing how up to his task dear ol' Willie is and how easily he even goes far beyond it (Songbird is a typical example).
With pathfinders like him, the only question is: where to? (Let it be unknown, so we'll thrill with joy at the...usual surprise!).

I've been a Willy fan since 1973. This is one of his best!

I used to see Willy in Austin for free back in the 1970s, back before "the day." He gets better. Only Willy gets younger while the rest of us get older.

Another gem from an eclectic American treasure

Willie's cover of "Stella Blue" would make the disc worth the price, but there isn't a bad cut on the disc. Like Johnny Cash in his later years, Willie continues to stretch his repertoire. He's recently visited reggae and blues. I'm sure wherever the infamous bus heads next, the destination will be sweet.
