Biography

Gary Revel: Born in Florala Alabama June 29, 1949. Grew up in Lower Alabama and Florida. Formed rock and roll band at 15, played guitar and sang lead. Graduated high school from Holmes County High School in Bonifay Florida. At 18 he joined the United States Navy and from there went into the music business in Hollywood California, then New York City, Memphis Tennessee and finally Nashville Tennessee. He wrote songs and made recordings for various companies , played guitar in recording sessions for other artists and performed in various night clubs, concerts and lounges. In 1974 he met attorney Jack Kershaw and began working with him. This relationship led to his investigation of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. in association with the House Select Committee on Assassinations when Jacks law office began representing James Earl Ray in 1976. In 1977 he wrote and recorded THEY SLEW THE DREAMER, a song about the conspiracy of the MLK assassination. Gary lives in Los Angeles and has signed an option with film-maker William Sachs for the project that will bring Gary's story of murder and intrigue about his investigation of the MLK assassination to the big screen. His autobiographical book 'To Live Or Maybe Not' is available on the internet as well as his book of poetry, 'Milestones'.
