Editor's review

Heavy, riffing, chugging, raucous rock from a seven-piece band out of Austin, Tex. It even looks thick, with dual drummers, two guitars, and one experimental noisy sound. Perfect for monster-truck marathons or WWE intros.

Biography

Gorch Fock is a 7-piece Psych-experimental-noise-heavy-rock outfit from Austin, TX. They incorporate a dual drummer and bass rhyth section, two guitars, an electronic/baritone guitar/effects/vocalist. Their live shows have become legendary in Austin and are quickly becoming so across the nation prompting the Village Voice to describe them as "infamous Texas underground noise freaks" and the Chicago Reader to deftly sum them up as ??maniacal and explosive and wickedly confident?head-spinning double-drum-kit attack into an inventive, art-metalish fun house?just the thing for anyone who?s ever wondered why they don?t make bands like the Melvins anymore.?

Gorch Fock have toured the Midwest, East and South in the last 10 months extensively to lay the groundwork and to support their most recent release Lying and Manipulating out now on Australian Cattle God an Austin based label that also released their frequent tour companions Bleach03 from Okinawa, Japan and fellow Austinites Attack Formation and Tia Carrera.

Gorch Fock's first self-titled record has also just been re-issued by Australian Cattle God.

They will be embarking on a tour of the Mountain West and West Coast on August 15th w/ their labelmates Tia Carrera for many rocking shows.  Then the plan is to tour the Midwest up to their CMJ 2005 label showcase at Trash bar in Brooklyn and back through the East and South, followed by another trip out West and dates with Mono, Bellini, and Stinking Lizaveta in late September and October.

Plans for recording their next record in November and December.
