Something evil is afoot in Vinita, Okla., and its name is Gravediggers Jokebook. Even the ridiculously poor recording quality cannot mask the overwhelming misanthropy of this band--the music sounds like a collection of old 78s from one of the lower rungs of Hell. Gravediggers Jokebook mix down-tuned hardcore with metal riffs to achieve sheer sonic ugliness.
Biography
Gravediggers Jokebook was originally formed in 1998 by their guitarist Midnite and drummer Eric. They spent most of their next five years playing shows and promoting their music which would be independantly released as their debut cd "Garden of Earthly Delight" in 2002. In 2003 they replaced their vocalist and bassist with Eric's two brothers.
Now, based out of the small town of Vinita, Oklahoma, featuring vocalist Jeremiah French, guitarist extraordinaire Midnite, bassist Brian French, and drummer Eric French, Gravediggers Jokebook are back with a new heavier style than before. Bringing you screaming hardcore vocals with a death metal twist, intense, driving guitar riffs, thumping bass lines, and fast, slighly chaotic, double-bass drumming. Guaranteed to kick your ass and keep your head banging!!
