Melancholy and loss permeate the slow, easy, thoughtful music of Grounded Plane, a two-person band from Virginia formed in 2002. The simple arrangements are built around just guitar and bass, and the vocals, foggy and dreamy as a gray Sunday morning, fit the soft-focused melodies perfectly.
