Gustafer Yellowgold's Wide Wild World

Gustafer Yellowgold is a freshly original multimedia project utilizing animated illustrations paired with catchy, original pop-tunes geared towards family and kids, with a surprisingly strong crossover appeal to adult audiences. It is one of the first signings the newly formed family imprint Little Monster Records, alongside Apples In Stereo front man Robert Schneider and Medeski Martin and Wood. Gustafer Yellowgold’s Wide Wild World is the first release, in a special DVD/CD Set with a street date of MARCH 27th 2007. Available now as a Barnes & Noble Exclusive! On tour and performing since it’s creation in 2005, Gustafer Yellowgold has been the wild-card opening act for established bands such as The Polyphonic Spree and Wilco as well as headlining children’s theaters across the U.S., England and Seoul, Korea. Gustafer was created by illustrator/songwriter Morgan Taylor. The show is performed by Morgan solo or with a live band while the moving images are cast in unison on a large screen as a backdrop. Taylor is humorous as the event’s narrator, interacting with his often verbally inquisitive audiences. A native of Dayton, Ohio, Morgan has lived in New York City since 1999, honing his songwriting skills while concurrently becoming a successful sound engineer. He has released several CD’s, including the 70-song box set, “Box of Monster”. Morgan’s other musical projects have included recording and playing bass with The Autumn Defense (John Stirratt and Pat Sansone of Wilco), as well as two US tours in 2004 as a singing sound engineer with songwriter Joseph Arthur.
