With a former member of the Bad Plus and a recording studio owner among their ranks, Halloween , Alaska is practically guaranteed a place in every indie fan's heart. With velvety-smooth songwriting skills and quirky yet elegant production values, the band is all treat and no tricks.

Biography

James Diers (voice, guitar) lives in Los Angeles and tries not to panic unnecessarily. Ev (keys, voice, programming) lives in Minneapolis and
co-runs a recording studio with orange walls. Matt Friesen (electric bass guitar) lives in St. Paul and owns a vast set of carpentry tools. David King (acoustic and electronic drums) lives in St. Paul and owns "Valley Girl" on DVD. They are Halloween, Alaska. They are also current and/or former members of The Bad Plus, Love-cars, Happy Apple, 12rods and The Few Nice Words.
