The band started doing covers of Bob Marley, The Gladiators, Edson Gomes, Tribo de Jah, Cidade Negra and many tunes of the roots reggae era, that was 1998, then Brazil got into another reggae fever, Herva Nativa went into Jeremias de Lima home studio to record the first own compositions, sadly these songs were never released, the band stopped in the late 2001.
After a 3 years stop, Herva Nativa returned to the local reggae scene with some changes in the line up and new compositions, "Preconceito" e "Viol?ncia", the songs are about social and sujectives issues.
Today the band and the long time producer Jeremias de Lima are involved in the making of the first full album of the band that is one of the veterans of the reggae movement in Amazonia.
