This is an introduction to a magnetic, highly artistic, and energetic artist whose abundant talents are all the buzz with Los Angeles club goers. This singer/songwriter/guitarist is notorious for taking his audience on a roller coaster ride of emotion, romance and self-wonder, building a highly impatient wait for the public release of his solo, debut album entitled, My Scattered Brain. This is Hodges Taylor . . . The "rock-n-roll" road for this artist began at a recording studio in Fort Worth, Texas in 2000. Having a Julliard-trained concert pianist for a father and a former MCA recording artist as a mother, Hodges Taylor naturally began to explore his own artistry. He "cut his teeth" on two successful albums with his first band 24 Days, which gained him notoriety as a young act around Texas. The band opened up for notable acts such as Bowling for Soup and Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) just to name a few. Throughout the touring process Hodges Taylor began to develop into his own. He loved the idea of sharing the stage with players from many different musical genres, but the time had come to broaden his horizons. In 2003, the road for Hodges Taylor led him to Los Angeles, California. It was in LA that he began to fine-tune his skills as a singer/songwriter and ultimately into a dynamic artist with an undeniable force. His musical influences include U2, Dave Matthews, Peter Gabriel, and Paul Simon, but Hodges Taylor is one to be more effected by a song, rather than an artist. The upcoming release of his new album in January truly reflects every musical vision he’s ever heard in his head. Whether you’re from Texas, California or the middle of no where, Hodges Taylor will suck you in with his sound, shock you with his show and sing a song you won’t be able to get out of your head. It’s time to open your eyes and ears to a new breed of singer/songwriter, Hodges Taylor.
