Biography
Tane, pronounced as Tannay, were formed ten years ago after Don Rutttan toured with the English/Australian folk rock band Kangaroo Moon. Not content to sound like any folk band, Tane strived to push the boundaries of the new wave of Celtic Fusion heard today. The lyrics are influenced by Sharon Kay Penman, Loreena McKennitt and Marion Zimmer Bradley.

The band is comprised of:
Don Ruttan - acoustic guitar, wooden flute, concert flute, high and low whistles, synthesiser and vocals.
Christine Lee - lead vocals, recorder, percussion and whistle
Phil Ashworth - drums and percussion
Roy Geiger - acoustic and electric guitars
Kate Gittens - clarinet, keyboards,soprano and alto sax
Peter Lane - bass guitar
