Editor's review of i-Recipes

4 star editors rating This recipe database boasts a fine design scheme, but its trial restriction certainly isn't ideal. i-Recipe's best attribute is probably its clean, elegant main interface, which strangely reminds us of iTunes. Manually adding or importing recipes from the Web site is simple, allowing you to enter such information as ingredients, prep time, and detailed instructions. You even can add images to any entry. The program lets you alter the font size and organize recipes by courses, but it doesn't allow you to create custom categories such as nutritional information. The biggest issue we have with i-Recipes is with the 10-recipe trial, which is somewhat disappointing considering many of its competitors allow you to add unlimited recipes for a certain number of days. But if you're a frequent cook who values design over flexibility, i-Recipes warrants consideration.
