The 1990 movie "Jacobs Ladder" may have freaked you out, but this Bay Area producer's music (with the same name) has the opposite effect. Swirling ambience floats alongside soothing keystrokes while thick drums drive the subtle sonic bus. It's easy to take a peaceful, introspective journey while climbing this particular Ladder.
