Who'd have thought, when Iggy Pop and Johnny Rotten were starting out, that punk rock would ever qualify as kids' music? It barely seemed OK for grown-ups. But this Canadian three--and one member is 3--rightly notes that wild guitars and an urge to simply "make some noise" are kid impulses first.
Biography
Just because you're a kid?or have kids?doesn't mean you don't crave the crashing guitars of high-energy rock and roll. Punk rock IS kids music, after all; its fun, fast and noisy, and its not afraid to colour outside the lines. Jam Toast kicks out 3-chord fun for the whole family, featuring such rockers as "Roller-Skating Wiener Dogs," "My Sandbox Rocks!" and "Toys on the Dancefloor." Vocal duties are shared by Michael?a punk rock veteran from a number of 1980s and 1990s bands?and his two boys, 3 and 7. This is children's punk, an alternative to traditional kids' tunes.
