Born in Turku, Finland in 1974 and raised in New York City during the influential period 1987-1992, Jani Ho has more recently based himself in Melbourne. While his label Finn Audio, established in 1998, provides an outlet for production, Jani continues to thrill audiences with his explorations of sound as a respected live act and DJ.

Surrounded by live music for most of his life, and playing piano and harmonica throughout his late teens, Jani?s unique sound finds it roots in minimal techno, jazz and electronica. Frequently requested as a guest act, Jani has earned the respect and appreciation of both his peers and the audience. He has performed 100% live alongside such international artists as Juan Aktins, Derrick May, Cari Lekebush, Moloko, Miss Kittin, Gilles Peterson, Luomo, Grooverider, DJ Storm, Majestic 12, Pornland, Spiderbait, Virus/Hoodangers, HMC, Mark Verbos, Leo Laker, DJ Boogs and of course long time friend Voiteck. Over the last years, Jani has wowed audiences across both Europe and Australia at festivals, clubs and parties, from Machinery (Koneisto) festival in Europe to Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne. Performed live on Triple J?s ?Mix Up?. Regular appearances with bands such as Pornland and Dr.Detroit

Janis most recent project the Jani HO Quartet is a live outfit of house and electro flavoured jazz. On sax and flute Mark Luccehessi (Pornland, Dr.Detroit, The New Electric) and Rhodes piano Adrian Whitehead (Pornland, Dr.Detroit). On vocals miss Nicola Watson (Dizzy?s).

Jani has also played at numerous prominent nightclubs, such as, Rosegarden (Helsinki), Laundry, Softbelly, Revolver and Lounge (Melbourne), among others. Providing a varied sound for every venue, Jani has established himself as a professional DJ/live act with a successful and steady following.
