Formed in 1997, J Boogie's Dubtronic Science has appeared on numerous compilations including the entire Om Lounge series (volume 1-7), Deeper Concentration, Ubiquity's Audio Alchemy, Future Primitive's Urban Revolutions and more. "The original idea was to combine different rhythms with hip-hop and dub featuring musical elements from around the world. Some of it to chill to, some of it to dance to, some of it to listen to with a friend." explains Boogie. His remixes have been put to the test with Soulstice, Romanowski, DJ Zeph, and Systemwide. Alongside his production credits, J-Boogie can be found keeping San Francisco's vibe running strong; on-air with two radio programs Beatsauce -Voted "Best Hip-Hop Radio Show" -SF BAY GUARDIAN and "Roots to Branches" Fridays on 90.3 FM KUSF). J Boogie's diverse DJ sets in the club have earned him a reputation for filling the dance floor.
