Jenny Allinder

Jenny Allinder and Jonathan Wood have a signature sound that is an amalgam of traditional styles, including celtic, old time, bluegrass, jazz and classical. With percussive rhythm and fluid arrangements they explore traditional boundaries with originality and respect. They share a major musical influence in guitarist Robin Kessinger, while other artists such as Hank Williams, Norman Blake and Kevin Burke have affected their styles as well. Jenny is a three time winner of the Vandalia Gathering fiddle contest and she has won first place fiddle at the West Virginia Folk Festival in Glenville. Jonathan has played numerous concerts and workshops with Robin Kessinger including the Fraley Festival in Carter Caves, KY and the Oyster Ridge Music Festival in Kemmerer, Wyoming.
