With his talent, creative mind and strong soulful voice, Jeremy Carr is what the music industry is missing today. The singer/songwriter was born the middle child of 3 sisters and 1 brother in upstate New York where his mother was a music teacher. With music already flowing in his blood it was apparent that his appreciation for music would shine through. As a child he was greatly influenced by the Motown Legends like Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Michael Jackson. Maybe that's why Jeremy Carr's sound is purely soul and reminds you of the great singers of the past. Based in New York, Jeremy has been recording and performing R&B with a number of notable producers. In fact his unique vocal style was tapped by prominent dance/house producer, Alexander Perls to record a number of Dance/House singles. The UK release Private Room on the Sunsonik label soon followed. This massive track is a catchy 80s Pop/Electro mix with aggressive and soulful vocals. This hit has received airplay from BBC Radio One DJ Judge Jules and played on Pete Tong's Essential mix and has had numerous radio support worldwide. Additionally, Jeremy is the featured vocalist on the current German release When the Lights turn off by Spencer & Hill on the KickFresh label. Looking forward Jeremy will be featured on the single This Real Life on TOOLROOM records. The single slated for release in June is already generating interest in the UK Dance scene. In fact, producers, Granite and Phunk recently told DallasDancemusic.com that This vocal track will be huge. It is our most proud moment as producers. Jeremy is proud too. A further release scheduled for Jeremy on the Souvent label in France round out this very busy year for the performer. Additionally, as a featured vocalist in the band Bohack, Jeremy has played many of New York Citys premier spots, including The Groove and The Parkside lounge both located in Greenwich Village. For his next project, Jeremy has decided to return to his roots: SOUL music. Mixing traditional R&B vocals with a contempary sound, Jeremys UrbanKnight label debut is sure to keep his fans wanting more. Jeremy is excited about this project and describes it as Old school soul with a modern twist.
