In 1987, at the age of 20, Jeroen Figee started 'Studio ShowerZone' a homestudio at the attick of an now more then 100 years old house in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Before that moment, he was mainly composing and performing in bands as a drummer (at the age of 10) and guitarist/singer. When the studio was there, requests came in from instrumentalists and vocalists to do demo's for them. During the years more and more musicians climbed the studio stairs and writing and performing demo's and CD's for artists, became his main thing, as well as giving musiclessons in music-theory, drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and composition. Jerome (translated from Dutch) was involved in several small theater productions, some openings of art-exhibitions and he kept playing, coaching and composing for bands untill the end of the last millenium. From 2000 the main focus has been the solo-CD's of vocalists and acts. Between projects Jerome would pick up his own solo-albums which are compilations of pop, dance, new wave and jazz. Also 'ambient' is a catagory where JF releases albums like: Mood Topography 2006 and earlier: 'Experiences At Dawn' 1988, 'Stories At The Rosary' 1993 (a tribute to writer: Catherine Duval) and 'Elfen-Mere' 1999 (A preraphaelite album). Citer, piano and synth play the main role on these works. JF: "Ambient is a really great style to work in, because the musical form is so completely different from modern rock. Doing those albums is kind of being on holiday, a vacation from popular music".
