I saw Jimmy Greene perform live at the Village Vanguard about two years ago, and it was one of the most moving jazz shows I've seen in quite sometime. I checked out the song here, and as it was labeled a "snippet" I went to the company's website and discovered that they had even more video and audio clips for free download there.
This clip had a really nice opening, but as it is over 15 minutes long, you dont really get the full effect of the three parts to it. Apparently, it was composed in honor of Ornette Coleman, and with Jimmy's great tone, the thematic and angular lines of the melody, and the intuitive and imaginitive group playing -- it honors him well.
