Biography

Jim Soule rose from the stagnate community of Circle Pines/Lexington, MN.  On his walks to Centennial High School he bagan to hum some tunes that flew around in his head.  One day while out buying music at a local Best Buy, he made an impulse buy on a $99 Yamaha keyboard that he brought home and with the help of his Dad, hooked up to two tape records and begun to write and record.  These songs included keys and trumpet and guitars.  The end products were electric stories much in the vain of They Might Be Giants and were about quirky life events and hard life lessons.

Once Jim honed his musical styling learning to play the guitar and continuing to improve keyboards and passioned trumpet playing, not to mention the help of a Roland VS-840EX began to write and record at will.  After releasing a demo-ish sounding record called "I'm am the GIANT!" in 1999 he hoped to top that with a polished and high quality follow up.  Instead, he began to write and write and write and recorded occasionally and the long list of unrecorded songs began to build.

Through the wonders of the World Wide Web, Jim began to submit MP3's of his music into the electronic world, and was received quite well.  Even most recently on the much renowned GarageBand.com, Jim's work "Face" was highly received and was named GB's acoustic track of the day back on August 17th, 2005.  To follow that up, co-worked and fellow rocker, Nick Leet from the excellent band High on Stress, gave Jim the opportunity to play before him at a local coffe shop.  Jim is hoping to continue to play solo shows and work on a new record of polished and quality tracks.

The story has just begun...
