Biography

I started out (read: was born) in the humble town of Cookeville, TN. Yes, smack in between Nashville and Knoxville, we like the "villes" in Tennessee. I always loved music and continually hummed/sang all through childhood. I started learning to play "piano" when I was 5 and I won a 19-key (?) Casio keyboard in a school raffle. I now know that God made that happen because that event started a musical snowball that eventually led to me buying a full- size Baldwin portable keyboard in college and having way too much fun exercising my ear-brain connections. Strange then that I went to Tennessee Tech and studied computer science. Well, I always liked computers, too. So, I went and got me a bachelor's in it and drove on down to Huntsville, AL, to get a job. Being the nerd capital of the South, I figured I'd have no problem. So, I worked there for nearly 2 years and then met the love of my life (Bonnie). I stayed on for 2 MORE years, all the while knowing I needed to get out and do what I really loved (music). I even complained about my yearnings to leave my job in an email to Dan Lavery, the bass player from Tonic. He (or someone using his email signature) gave me encouragement. I know, this is hokey, but I cherish my brief vicarious brushes with fame, so leave me alone. ;-) Anyway, enough about me. I hope you like my music. Chances are whatever you hear won't be of the best technical quality (I did the recording/mixing at home in my living room and computer room), but maybe I can at least give your finger a reason to stop clicking for a few seconds and your ears something new to hear. God Bless
