One imagines old J.S. Bach scoffing at the notion of a sampled piano--that is, until he heard his fugues played on one. While this modern trick may lack in organic quirk, it quickly ingratiates itself with its clarity of tone and tight harmonics, bringing it into the unlikely company of the organ.
Biography
John Lewis Grant is best known for his internet version of Bk 1 of Bach's Well-tempered Clavier. Here he offers some preludes and fugues as well as other more popular music. The recordings are played and produced on a sampled piano (a real piano, but one that has each note of which been pre-recorded).
