He has always been one of my favorites and it was a joy to listen to him again. The fact that he wrote from his personal experience on the "wild side" of life makes his music much more realistic and touch the hearts of the common man (or woman).

It moved me to hear Johnny Cash sound off as the voice of the prisoners at San Quentin. He really did a magnificent job out there. His hardhitting song about San Quentin holds back nothing, and makes us stop and think about how desparate life must be for the prisoners.
