Editor's review

Arizona's Peterson notes that his music provides something for "people who have grown tired of waiting for Enya, Enigma [and] Bjork." After hearing his stuff, you may forget all about those artists. Peterson blends gleaming classical strings, clean accoustic guitar, and whispery ambient effects in gorgeous, expansive collages.

Biography

Joshua Peterson is one of the online movement's most recognized New Age composers. At only 21 years old, he has composed and released 5 massively successful compositions: "All Is..." in 2004; "Homogenetic" in 2005; "Profile" in 2005; "Nouvelle" in 2005; and 2006's Editor's Pick "Love Songs" - of which six compositions have been Top 5 Instrumental Pop hits. His music embraces the best of Ambient, Trance, Classical, Minimalist, World, and Folk; and molds those genres together to create stunning worlds of mysticism and serenity. Many of his listeners have claimed the need to hear more from him after one experience with his music. Joshua sums up his perspective on his musical career in saying, "Music is meant to remind us of what we're missing out on in the mix of things. It then helps us get back in touch with it."
