Biography

Kessel is a multi-instrumentalist influenced by eclectic artists such as Brian Eno, The Velvet Underground, Beck, Syd Barrett and Bob Dylan. The music of Kessel tends to stay in the pop genre, although occasionally drifts into electronic, dub and indie rock territory. Kessel was once the bass player/backing vocalist in Entrope (NY), an indie-rock band influenced by the likes of The Police, U2, New Order, and The Who. Beginning their musical journey in 2001, Entrope disbanded two years later in 2003, soon after touring the U.S.. But that wasn't the end. Three original members went on to form Aklista, another indie-rock band, this time broadening their song-writing, and including influences like Incubus, Faith No More, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Sadly, Aklista disbanded soon after it had begun, leaving several promising rock songs on the wayside. Kessel is now a singer-songwriter carrying on his love of music and hopes you dig what you hear.
