A Paul Simon flavor, mixed with a dash of inspiration from the Irish lyric poets, gives Kevin Brett's folk, rock, and blues stew depth and resonance. You could imagine Tom Waits would approve of this brand of roots music, but then probably so would James Joyce.
An Irish Singer/songwriter who also has some electro-acoustic compositions and is currently studying for a Masters in Composing for Film and TV outside London. Kevin has organised and hosted open mic nights for singer/songwriters in Ireland, and plays regularly at similar nights, aswell as more 'formal' gigs. He also recorded an in-studio session for Flirt 105.6Fm in Galway.
His style often varies from song to song depending on prevailing influences ( and political situations). His lyrics are often introspective and the music usually captures the mood the lyrics portray.
He has previously worked as a roadie with various Irish acts including The Frames, Juliet Turner, Nina Hynes, Watercress and the Mary Janes.
