The man known as Four Tet and another known for his jazz production with Miles Davis and Sun Ra have collaborated as simply "Kieran Hebden and Steve Reid," but the music that's resulted is much more complicated than that. Take someone who's made a living making the techiest sounds imaginable and merge his talents with someone who's made a living making the most organic sounds--and the result is bound to be this interesting.

Tongues is the new record from Kieran Hebden (AKA Four Tet) and Jazz percussionist Steve Reid (Sun Ra, Miles Davis, James Brown), and as you’d expect from two musicians addicted to fresh sounds, it finds them speaking a whole new language after their earlier collaborations.
