Editor's review

Kill Genre specializes in the kind of frazzled psychedelia that ruled the underground before 'alternative' became a mainstream word. The group's flailing, howling sound is too weird to be considered grunge and too lazy to be called metal. Squalls of feedback and ranting vocals make Kill Genre a dizzying listen.

Biography

Kill Genre consisted of four degenerates who formed a band out of equal portions of boredom and inspiration in a small backwards town in Southern California. This seminal opus was recorded in a cat piss-ridden mess of a room in the year 2002 for posterity to enjoy and recently remastered with love, care, and precision specially for said posterity. They barely broke even on the cost of recordable CDs and printer ink with the support of a local underground. The music heard here was a creative outlet holding high therapeutic value to the members of this band and they wish to spread their musical seed to the virginal minds of the masses. It's a sad state that the music industry is in today where original ideas are ignored if not shunned and travesties are signed to million-dollar record deals. Consider the exposure of these recordings a direct assault on the current musical tyranny in this nation. If you are intrigued or interested in this music and have any questions, concerns, or desires whatsoever, or if this has whet your appetite for more, please email us at kill_genre@hotmail.com any time, day or night.
