These San Jose dream poppers have split, leaving only one EP and one LP for posterity. It's both lucky and sad, then, that those records are full of reflective indie gems. Shuffling drums and glowing guitars set up the showpiece: lovely female lead vocals that find a spot between Lisa Loeb and Mazzy Star.
Biography
Korea Girl is from San Jose, CA. Unfortunately, they have recently broken up, but they have left us two indie-pop master-pieces in the Reunion 7" & the new s/t full length. Comparisons to other bands have been to the likes of Seam, Velocity Girl, Mazzy Star, Pavement, Lois, and Spent. Now that's good company! Don't miss out, Korea Girl is #1.
