Biography

Kristyn Leigh began singing at the age of seven in children’s church and choir. Her first solo was at the age of ten, when she sang “All I Want for Christmas” for her elementary school choir.

Kristyn began to pursue music after participating in countless other activities, ice-skating, horseback riding, soccer, baseball, basketball, and visual arts. She began piano lessons at the age of eleven, soon following with voice, cello and flute. Music was the one thing she found she loved above anything else. She continued to grow musically, becoming accomplished in voice and on each instrument, training in what would later be her calling.

When she was 15, she attended a teen church camp, and realized that God was calling her to begin her own music ministry. This led her to become much more serious about her talents, giving everything she had to God, and turning her life completely over to Him.

Kristyn is currently featured as a solo artist at her church. She also plays keyboards, cello, and flute as the need arises. She sings for rallies, camp meetings, conferences, and conventions, state and nationwide. She also enjoys singing at local nursing homes, sharing her gift of song with an often-neglected segment of Gods children.

Kristyn was chosen to participate in the Kentucky Music Educators All State High School Chorus in 2003 and 2004. She also was chosen to attend The Kentucky Governors School for the Arts during the summer of 2003, majoring in vocal performance.

Kristyn was the third place winner, in the adult category, in the national piano composition competition, Claviers Piano Explorer in 2000. She received a certificate of meritorious performance at the Kentucky Baptist Keyboard Festival Convention in 2003. She was the winner of the WHAS radio (Louisville KY) Saturday morning superstar contest in 2003. Kristyn was also a featured soloist on the WAVE 3 (Louisville KY) “It’s Your Life” program in 2003.

Most recently, Kristyn has joined Creative Soul Records, an independent Christian record label, and is relesing her new CD "Glimpse", produced by Eric Copeland. .
