Tokyo has long been a crucible of jazz-fusion variants, and that tradition continues with pianist/composer k-ryu. Overlapping silken smooth-jazz piano, moody prog synths and guitars, and ambient New Age soundscapes, the artist finds a sound that's easy listening for jazz fans (and vice versa).
Biography
My name is "k-ryu"which is named after my Japanese handle- name[kannnaduki ryu] to tell the truth,I'm not good at English. so please forgive me even if you find any mistakes.
Speaking of music, I work mostly on composition and also play the piano and the guitar. I listen to wide a range of musical janre from ethinical music to hard-rock. The songs I compose accompanies to them.
But when it roughly classifies,main genre is easylistening. Tools I uses to compose are,Reason+Ovation Adamas(12strings)+ES -335(copy-model)+Roland/FP8(electric piano)I have many musicians that I admire.Below are some of them that I can think up of immediately. Sting,Led Zeppelin,Keith Rechard,Nirvana,Jeff Beck,Joe Pass,Jaco Pastrius,,etc.
