Biography

Richard Kush Griffith Blues Band -- Led by the dynamic Richard "Kush" Griffith -- this blues and funk outfit from Denver, Colorado is on the "cutting edge" -- but you can only listen to the music to find out what we mean by that ! 

Richard "Kush" Griffith is a real deal funk legend -- known for his trumpet and arrangement work with the James Brown band in the mid 60s and early 70s - After working with James Brown, Kush went on to work with George Clinton's Parliament funk mob, P-Funk. Integral to the P-Funk mob during the mid to late 70s, Kush joined Bootsy Collins as key member of Bootsy's Rubber Band and the subsequent P-Funk offshoot band The Horny Horns. Kush also spent some time as an important part of the Motown Rhythm section group, Bottom & Company -- and Kush has backed such greats as Marvin Gaye and Buddy Miles.
