Biography
This is flamboyant rockmusic from the south of Sweden. Energy and playfullness are the two main features in the musical cosmology of Lashing Patsy. The band's original music has several influences and their sound can be said to lie somewhere in the boundary between the psychedelia of the late 60's and the Art Rock of the 70's. Main influences among others are Velvet Underground, Roxy Music, Jefferson Airplane, Brian Eno, Echo and The Bunnymen, David Bowie, Patti Smith and Iggy Pop. The bandmembers are: Johan Hammarsten - vocals and guitar, Anna Rosander - vocals and percussion, Andre Brorsson - lead guitar and backing vocals, Mattias Lidehall - bass guitar, Calle Al Obaidy - keyboards and Hakan Carlsson - drums.
