If you crossed the most enchanting aspects of Erin McKeown, Ani DiFranco, Norah Jones, and Bjork, you'd be left with one tripped-out chanteuse. You'd be left with Leesun. The UK singer-songwriter combines the cadence and confessional pitch of McKeown and DiFranco with the intimacy of Jones and Bjork's frozen waifishness.
Exciting news! Finally you can hear a snippet from the debut album! A pre-release version of "Away From Me" is now available for listening and pre-order at www.indiestore.com/leesun
LeeSun was born in Seoul, grew up in Canada and is now based in the UK. After a short stint on another planet and the discovery of an allergy to formal education, she decided to sing about how messed up the earth is, how beautiful people are, and of course Love, which to quote the Beatles “is all you need”.
Currently working on her debut solo album and borrowing the skills of: Emlyn Vaughan - Double Bass, Steve Lawson - Solo Bass, Kodi Hutchinson - Double Bass, Taz Modi - Keyboards, Brent Mah - Saxophone, Dan Klenner - Percussion, and the production skills of Pete Miko.
