“Like a dragster built from the parts of a Dogtown skateboard and a John Deere tractor, fueled by cheap beer and cigarettes, Legbone is a veritable tornado of ferociously fast and fun rock.” – The Dayton City Paper
Legbone releases their new album, Different Path, on June 21, 2005 through Rock Ridge Music. This collection of 15 songs were recorded by ex – Rise Against and 88 Fingers Louie member, Mr. Precision, at the legendary punk recording studio, Sonic Iguana. U.S. tour dates will be announced shortly.
Based in Dayton, Ohio, Legbone has been creating rousing punk rock for over ten years. There has been line up changes, influencing their non-compromising visceral sound in different ways, but the original members (Kyle Curtis and Mitch Lawson) promised each other they would never give up making music and sharing the fun of creating music with their fans.
Guitarist AJ Morse describes how the album title was chosen, Different Path is a song off the album, and since the band has changed members from the last album (Beer:30) we felt we were heading down a different path. We wanted people to know that we were tighter and better than ever. Also I think we are trying to make this band work for us the best way possible, which means we need to try to do things a little different from the way we have done in the past.”
“Legbone’s music is a little too heavy for the punks and a little to punk for the heavy metal fans so we are going down a different path. Our own path.” describes the singer, Kyle Curtis. He adds, “Legbone is brand new old school 80’s hardcore punk and the live shows are chock full of raw energy, fast and heavy.”
AJ Morse summarizes, “The live shows are pretty intense. It's kinda like Bad Religion and Motor Head having a fist fight.”
