This multitalented Berklee grad has been involved with just about every jazz ensemble to grace South Florida's shores, as well as a number beyond. Fans of Sarah Vaughan and Nina Simone will savor the husky, old-world swing and smoky-cool mien of Blachut's collaborations.
Les Blachut
Born in Poland.
Graduated with honors from Berklee: (Dual Major) Jazz Performance and Music Education, and from International Academy of Arts Science: Associated Master of Arts in Performing Arts Composition.
Taught instrumental and classroom music for private schools in Europe, Canada and USA. Former member of Brampton Symphony.
For the past six years Les has been Music Teacher at St. Jude School in Boca Raton, and Music Director for St. George Church in Fort Lauderdale.
For the past three years Les has been lending his expertise to Billboard Songwriting Competition and US Songwriting Competition.
Les is known to provide Music Entertainment in many of South Florida's establishments. He can be heard with professional Blues/RB groups, big-bands, jazz combos, steel bands, concert-hall ensembles, music theaters, duos, trios, and many more...
In his musical career Les performed or recorded with such diverse group of celebrities and innovators as: the Ink Spots, Basia, Lauryn Hill, Pronit, Microtonal Society, Miami World Percussion Orchestra, International Musicians in Space, and numerous Jazz Artists.
