Editor's review

We may have lost Elliott Smith, but we've seen a profusion of whispery alt-folk voices since his passing, from Iron & Wine on down. With practice, young Michael Radford (aka Letters for Saints), whose tunes are at once accommodating and haunting, may add to those ranks.

Biography

Remember to leave a review!!

My name is Michael Radford, and I live in a small town called Ammon, Idaho. Needless to say, there's not much to do in a small town. So, I learned to play guitar.

I recieved this magical instrument as a Christmas gift some three and a half years ago, and have been playing ever since. I started writing songs about a year later, and some of them -?a select few, mind you - I found worthy to post on the internet and attach to them a clever stage name.

While I lack the funds required for high quality recordings, I do my best with a faulty computer microphone and a decent program on my desktop PC. While unrefined and most definately unprofessional, I feel these recordings have a passion in them that could only be improved in a studio, not created in one.

I started performing in front of an audience my Freshman year in high school, where they hosted a once weekly "open mic", where anyone who claimed to play an instrument could sing their heart out. I did, and it set me off on a more musical path than what I had orginally had in mind.

Now, in my Junior year, I feel that as I mature, my music does as well. Hopefully, with time, my music can express itself more fully, and people can clearly see what I'm about.

?

-Mike
