Musicians often list diverse, seemingly incongruous sets of influences, but few are brazen enough to try to throw all those styles together into one album. London one-man-band Low-Flying Moon blends prog-rock guitars, trance beats, world percussion, and dream-pop vocals in the space of single songs. Impressively, Moon's whispery, Michael Hutchence-like vocals keep it all glued together.
This music is my attempt 2 fuse all the different kinds of music that have been inspiring me at different points of life and guiding me through different stages of my personal and artistic development, blah, blah, blah. Ive been trying 2 pick-and-mix (or "nick-and-fix") elements of such diverse styles as alternative rock, more sophisticated pop, hip-hop, drum n bass, film score music and whatever else, because I could never be satisfied by music and art fitting perfectly into its genre. My idea of music is not following one of the sets of rules and patterns given - its choosing Your own set of rules and patterns from the entire history of human culture (Jesus, I'm boring MYSELF now). Allmost everything in these tunes has been composed, played/programmed, recorded, mixed and mastered by Yours trully and if there R any vocals - theyre usually mine 2, unless otherwise stated. Therefore Im the only person 2 blame, so please dont harras my family and/or friends if my music doesnt fit Your taste - just send me an angry e-mail to geesus@gmail.com with whatever critical opinions U may have, which I will dutifully ignore. U may also contact me at the adress stated above if U happen 2 like my music.Anyway, enjoy and remember - if U have half as much fun listening 2 these tracks as I had making them - I had twice as much fun as U did :).
