The St. Louis five fits tidily into power pop's black humor corner, populated by such bands as OK Go and the Barenaked Ladies. As with both those acts, the equation is addictive chord structures and vivid kiss-offs (read: "high-maintenance means/ you're a gluttonous queen/ narcissistic and mean.")
