LUVTAXI.... is a Latin beat band that blends the traditional musical rhythms and styles of LATIN music with the modern beats & vocal harmonies of POP, ROCK, FUNK, HIP-HOP and WORLD BEAT to perform original musical selections in English & Spanish.
LUVTAXI bandmates are: ROXANA DAMAS -Lead Vocals & Percussion Frank Lizarraga - Bass & Vocals, Bandleader Josh Kenyon - Keyboards & Organ, Co-leader Rudy Morones - Drums, Congas, Timbales & Vocals Jamie Zuniga - Lead Vocals, Congas,Timbales & Drum Roy Santos - Electric & Acoustic Guitars
The beat.... refers to the many influences of music the band members listen & love. ROXANA is performer & songwriter of Salsa, Cumbia and Merrenge styles. Frank is into Latin pop and rock, Josh loves to listen and play jazz, Jamie is well versed in Afro-cuban and traditional Latin genres. Rudy and Roy are old school soul and funk junkies.
