FILMguerrero proudly releases the fourth album from Manta Ray- Estratexa. With continual comparisons to Suicide, Trans Am, and CAN, Manta Ray is widely acclaimed as "Spain's premier post-punk band." Projecting their widescreen guitar, soundtrack expanse, Manta Ray explores an atmospheric, almost electronic gloom that is juxtaposed with a steady, Slint-like rock intent. It is Manta Ray's devotion to the ambient and visual within its musical confines that brought Estratexa into the FILMguerrero lense. First released in Spain and Europe this Spring 2003, from Acuarela Discos (Thalia Zedek, Damien Jurado, Will Oldham, Greg Weeks, Aroah, Migala) Estratexa is a cinematic, avant-rock epic.
