If you dig smooth jazz, you'll like Marc Antoine. Then again, if you loathe smooth jazz, you'll like Marc Antoine. The French six-string maestro is just kind of likable. Clean, billowing phrases make neoclassical phrasing the province of world pop, while affable beats keep the thing sprightly.
Biography
A respected and admired classically trained French contemporary jazz guitarist, Marc Antoine's style transcends several genres. Hi-Lo Split, named after the poker game, is Antoine's eighth full-length release and first for Peak Records (Concord Music Group). Among the 11 songs on Hi-Lo Split is a cover of the Classic IV's 40-year-old hit single, "Spooky." Hi-Lo Split is 11 tracks of astonishing guitar work that has a worldwide appeal to guitar and music fans across many genres.
