Marie's Children

Marie's Children is an original Band. Our friendship and music came together very naturally. Lead vocals and group touch stone Kevin Smith, formally of the "Allens" and Carlo Libertini of Boston rock group "Kendra" met and formed Marie's Children through natural causes and fate. We each seemed to have paid our debts performing in very different bands?and musical backgrouds. Fortunately these differences in combination with drummer P.J. Melanson, bassist Brian Gilpatric, and percussionist Cameron Mackenzie?fused naturally. The product was very surprising and the result, Marie's Children!...

Next,...From L.A. to Boston, we love what we do and it shows. We brought it to the people and WOW! Live shows are what it's all about! Our fans are loyal fun and smart! Boston's best clubs, Annual Pajama parties, Cash and Can food drives, shows for the homeless, and people jumping up and dancing on stage! What the hell is going on? What do they think they are doing?? Oh yeah. Rock and roll."

We very much wanted to record a whole album. Not just a few singles wrapped up in whatever... We are so grateful to the awesome people who have been very supportive of what we do. We are quite aware of what it means these days for someone to spend money, and take time out of their lives to support a band. So, we wanted our album to sound great and very "real", sharing serious fun, and everything else that makes life and time interesting.
