Editor's review

In the spirit of John Renbourn's classic "Lady and the Unicorn," Marijan (from Germany) and Gill Whitehurst (from England) collaborate here in three languages to create a modern progressive rock epic. If your Latin is a bit rusty, the refrain translates to, "Thank God, love conquers all."

Biography

Marijan and Gill wrote and recorded this, their first collaboration in November 2004. The musical arrangement, written by Marijan, is a combination of folk, medieval and rock and suits the nature of the song they wrote together perfectly.

The song, Deo Gratias Amor Vincit Omnia, uses the German, English and Latin languages. Both Gill and Marijan wanted to write something that would encourage harmony and peace in a stressed world. The Latin words "Deo Gratias Amor Vincit Omnia"? Thank God  Love Conquers All!
