Markus Schulz has carved quite a name for himself. His internationally broadcasted radio show “Global DJ Broadcast” is unequivocally the most important outlet for the global music scene on American radio, and his hundreds of thousands of weekly listeners attest to that fact. Markus continues to win over fans and currently stands at Number 32 in "DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJs Poll”. However, this could all change in the coming weeks - Markus is poised to make an impressive leap this year.

Markus is renowned for his unique style of dark and brooding yet melodic DJ sets. A self proclaimed studio geek, Markus is infamous for surprising his fans with his reconstructions of well-known songs. "Sometimes I like a song, but it just doesn't fit the flow of my DJ sets, so I have no problem spending a day or two in the studio reworking by editing, adding extra percussion and extra keyboard parts to a song to make it fit my style" says Markus.When not in the studio reconstructing tracks for his DJ sets, Markus is busy working directly with record labels and artists who want to have that very particular sound that he is known for.Markus has had the opportunity to work with artists including Depeche Mode, Madonna, Everything But The Girl, Jewel, Oceanlab, Gabriel & Dresden presents Motorcycle, Karada, Telepopmusik, Fat Boy Slim, Miro, Book Of Love, Blue Amazon, and PQM. Hisremixes of "Intuition" and "Stand" by Jewel both hit #1 on the Billboard club chart.

His productions have been released on the most respected labels in the electronic dance music industry including Electronic Elements, Armada, Anjunabeats, Lost Language, Yoshitoshi, Global Underground, Renaissance, Bedrock, and Skint just to name a few. Markus’ productions have graced the turntables and mix albums of top djs around the globe either under his own name, Markus Schulz, or his "Himmel" and "Dakota" monikers. Tracks such as "Clear Blue", "You Won't See Me Cry", "Lost in Brixton", "Swirl" and "Celebrate Life" have been favorites in many a djs' record box worldwide.

With a ton of productions under his belt, and a wealth of released albums to his name, Markus Schulz can now add to his collection Coldharbour Sessions 2004 on his very own Coldharbour Recordings imprint through Armada, “Miami 05” (Armada & Moist Music), and his long awaited, two years in the making, debut artist album “Without You Near (Armada & Ultra Records).

Markus still manages to find time to DJ around the world, which he admits is his true love. Since his infamous seven year residency at The Works in Phoenix Arizona, where he developed his sound, he has toured the globe extensively, playing at clubs and festivals in Bucharest, Tel Aviv (his favorite place of all time) Istanbul, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Ibiza, Poznan, Toronto, Montreal, San Francisco and festivals such as Nature One, Dance Valley, Love Parade and Global Gathering.
