Biography

"Confident and Cool", as a young talented performer. Marzette's grandmother would take him to church. He sang in the gospel choir and as his grandmother would always say "with all his heart". Coming up in grade school and while performing on street corners. Marzette was deeply inspired by his older brother, Thomas, who formed the group "The Turbulations", and after watching their performance on stage decided what he wanted to do. His childhood friend Sheldon Brown also was there to support the group. However, as they grew older, he and Marzette went separate ways. Marzette became the main singer in the Group Essence (Epic/Cleveland International). His mother, Delores gave him the "gift of dance" which he would later use to achieve even more notoriety. She and his brother, Thomas was and continues to be his main influence in all his success. In summer 2000, working with Grammy Award Winner Jim Peterik, Marzette contributed vocals to Jim's World Stage project. He has appeared movies such as "Love Jones" .Marzette became the first winner of Chicago Radio Station V-103 Stepper's contest. In 2002 he appear at V-103?s Stepper's Ball held in the Grand Ballroom in Chicago where he performed his hit single "Ain't Nothing But A Party". In 2004 the hit songs "Ain't Nothing But A Party" and "Rhythm On Time" along with his sparkling presence and an unassuming demeanor while performing earned him an appearance in a commercial for Suburban Dodge of metropolitan Chicago. Marzette?s successes are astonishing. He expanded his popularity to Washington, D.C, Atlanta, Detroit, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Las Vegas, and the Bahamas. Marzette has worked with The Bill Pollack Orchestra Band where he had the pleasure performing on the show with Shania Twain at the 2006 Kansas City Speedway. Now that Sheldon Brown has formed his own Record Label (Baby Brown Records) their paths has crossed again, into a full circle. Marzette brings to the entertainment scene as a clarion lyrical singer who brings tones from his guts with expressive emotions. Now signed to a recording contract with Baby Brown Records, Marzette is still at his highest level of success. He remains humble knowing and believing, that the gift he has was given from God. It would inspire and propel him to record his new hit single "Stepping With Style" on his new 2007 CD entitled "And Now, Marzette".
