Working in the less-than-crowded realm of the blues instrumental, guitarist Matt Thorpe proves to be a solid soloist. "Watch Out" finds him swinging that Les Paul thing, backed by a pianist, bassist, and drummer in full-blown shuffle.

Biography

Matt Thorpe has an overriding passion for the Blues although some of his music reflects other interests in rock, jazz and fusion. The music is mainly instrumental. Matt is known for his emotive and fluid guitar soloing.

Matt is an accomplished guitar player and?composer having spent over 30 years plying his trade. He?released his eighth CD in 2003 entitled "After Seven Before Nine" and has enjoyed considerable success marketing his music via the internet as an independent artist. Through the?www Matt has linked up with other like minded?musicians and produced many collaborative works.

Matt also?joined the Blues Allstars for the recording of the Nashville Sessions CD in Nashville TN, USA and subsequently mixed and produced the 2003 album in his UK studio.

Favorite guitars, Matt?mainly?plays?his?much loved?Gibson Les Paul?but also?a?Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster.??

Matt has played many and varied studio sessions including tracks with soul diva Ruby Turner through past associations with UK Producer, Phil Savage.?
