Rogerio has taken a different and more challenging disciplined approach by following more in the style of Steve Morse and Eric Johnson, two refined and distinct players that have created their very own personal vibe as guitarists.

Maudonnet plays with a trio, much like Morse and Johnson, with some other studio help on certain songs, the music on this cd revolves wholley around his creative playing style. Which like his mentors, crosses in and out of many varieties of music, as a means to showcase his versatility. No doubt, he shows his influeces on just about every song, and they are not all Morse/Johnson vibed tunes. He also has his own style as well, on the song Brazil he plays some tasty fingerstyled classical guitar over some nice percussion ensemble play. Showing a glimpse of his taste for his own cultural music. Rogerio shows that he can play jazz, ethno-fusion, fusion, and rock guitar with deft control on this cd, the cd as a whole does not have the guitar hero stigma attached, as the songs are well written with a thematic approach, as to create a scenario with every song, and his playing only graces the foundations of each piece. A nice cd here for fans of the 'other' side of electric guitar. There are a lot of progressive elements to his music as well as ventures into ethnic and cultural sounds.
