The Adventures of Maximum Jackson

A “concept” band based out of Morgantown, WV - Maximum Jackson has quickly developed a reputation as being diverse, energetic, and engaging.  As mentioned, Maximum Jackson is a “concept” band, a format rarely used by musical groups in today’s music industry. The concept of the band is a story about the life and adventures of a character by the name of Maximum Jackson.   His story is told through the music, each composition is a page of Maximum Jackson’s autobiography.  Some songs contain lyrics that provide the listener a glimpse of an episode from his life.  Other compositions are instrumental, wrote by the band with a story in mind.  Only the song titles of these pieces give the listener a clue as to what the songs are about, the rest is left up to the listener’s imagination. 

The four members take on any type of musical styling, ranging from short songs with quirky and catchy hooks, to wordless, intricately composed compositions.  It is hard to classify Maximum Jackson in any one genre of music as their repertoire of original material exudes many influences from a multitude of musical backgrounds.
