MDO By-Product

In the same vein as a famous fast food chain and a major communications company, MDO By-Product has decided to forego the original, controversial words and replaced them with simple letters.? 'M', 'D' and 'O'.

A product of 1991, MDO By-Product was the brainchild of Kurt Weller and Greg Lester, a music production unit that the two found the necessity to? form when they were in need of an ambient score of jangle pop?for the experimental film they had just finished shooting.

They needed to somehow combine the visual docu-literation of the Grand Valley river basin with the metaphysical chutzpah of early Sam Hooks.? Many believe that they succeeded, Mr. Weller and Mr. Lester, however, felt that they could perhaps do more.

Each artist, therefore,?went on to create his own unique musical statement over the next several years.

The duo reformed in 1999 to commemorate the eight year anniversary of their original endeavor, cutting more original music and reworking some of the old.

We hope that you will enjoy hearing these original tracks, available for the first time outside of the collectors market, digitally remastered for the fifteen year anniversary.
